First aid equipment for law enforcement, corrections and military officers has traditionally been too big, too heavy or just too much extra stuff to carry. So it gets thrown into the trunk or relegated to the bottom of a gear bag where it’s not going to do anyone any good. Our goal with ResQ-PAK was to put together a compact, durable PAK with only the best and most essential trauma treatment supplies. The ResQ-PAK is lightweight and low profile, so it fits in a BDU pocket, a SWAT vest, a drop bag for mags, a gun belt or gas mask pouch; it even fits inside a suit jacket without showing. It’s on you when you need it!
Although body armor has become highly effective and widely used, it can give a false sense of security. The majority of life-threatening injuries sustained in the field by an officer in full body armor are vascular - a wound to the neck, armpit, groin or leg, with a major vein or artery being compromised. In most municipalities, 911 is on the scene in 5-8 minutes. Unfortunately, that’s long enough to bleed to death. Always carrying a ResQ-PAK might save your life, or a buddy’s. Even team members that travel with their own medics should carry a ResQ-PAK - we all know the awful stories of officers pinned down by active shooters; medics may be only yards away and yet unable to help.
